This cookie policy explains how Win2Day Bonus Oy («Win2Day Bonus», «we») uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies on our website win2daybonus.com.

2.1 Essential cookies

These cookies are necessary for the basic operation of the site. They cannot be disabled via the cookie banner without the site ceasing to function correctly. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR 6(1)(f)) and technical necessity.

• w2d_session — Session identifier that maintains the security of anonymous sessions. Type: cookie (HTTP-only). Retention: end of session (max. 24 h). Provider: Win2Day Bonus.
• w2d_csrf — CSRF protection for forms and chat functions. Type: cookie. Retention: end of session. Provider: Win2Day Bonus.
• w2d_cookies_en — Cookie consent stored in local storage. Values: «all» (all accepted) or «essential» (essential only). Retention: 12 months. Provider: Win2Day Bonus. Note: this record is not a cookie but a local storage key.

2.2 Functional cookies

These improve the user experience by remembering your choices. They are activated only if you accept all cookies. Legal basis: consent (GDPR 6(1)(a)).

• w2d_chat_state — Remembers chat window open/closed state. Type: local storage. Retention: 30 days. Provider: Win2Day Bonus.
• w2d_lang — Language preference (currently always fi). Type: local storage. Retention: 12 months. Provider: Win2Day Bonus.
• w2d_demo_prefs — Demo game volume and graphics settings. Type: local storage. Retention: 6 months. Provider: Win2Day Bonus.

2.3 Analytics cookies

These help us understand how visitors use the site. They are activated only with consent. Legal basis: consent (GDPR 6(1)(a)).

• _w2d_analytics_id — Pseudonymized visitor identifier for analytics. Type: cookie (first-party). Retention: 13 months. Provider: Win2Day Bonus.
• _w2d_pageviews — Page view counter and navigation paths. Type: cookie. Retention: 13 months. Provider: Win2Day Bonus.
• w2d_heatmap — Anonymized click and scroll data for UX improvements. Type: local storage. Retention: 3 months. Provider: Win2Day Bonus.

2.4 Third-party cookies

These are set via external services in connection with embedded content. They are activated only with consent, unless the service is technically essential.

• Google Maps (embedded map) — Location and map cookies in the footer map. Provider: Google Ireland Limited. Retention: varies (see Google Privacy Policy). Legal basis: consent.
• LinkedIn / X (social links) — We do not embed tracking widgets; plain links do not set cookies until you navigate to the third-party site.

3. Cookie table summary

4. Consent management

4.1 Cookie banner

On your first visit we display a cookie banner where you can choose:

• Accept all — allows essential, functional, and analytics cookies
• Essential only — allows only technically essential cookies

Your choice is stored with the key w2d_cookies_en in the browser’s local storage with values all or essential. Consent is valid for 12 months, after which the banner is shown again.

4.2 Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw your consent at any time in the following ways:

1. Delete w2d_cookies_en and other w2d_-prefixed cookies in your browser settings
2. Clear browser cookies and local storage for win2daybonus.com
3. Reload the site — the cookie banner will appear again

After withdrawal we remove analytics and functional cookies on the next page load.

4.3 Browser settings

You can also manage cookies in your browser’s own settings:

• Safari: Settings → Privacy → Cookies
• Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Note that completely blocking cookies may impair site functionality.

5. Analytics opt-out

If you have previously accepted analytics cookies, you can disable them:

1. Select «Essential only» in the cookie banner (if the banner is visible)
2. Or delete the local storage key w2d_cookies_en and set the value to essential
3. Delete cookies _w2d_analytics_id, _w2d_pageviews, and w2d_heatmap
4. Reload the page

Analytics data is anonymized or deleted within 30 days of consent withdrawal. We do not re-link anonymized data to an identified individual.

6. Do Not Track (DNT)

We do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals because there is no unified industry standard. Instead, we follow the explicit consent you give via the cookie banner, which is the practice recommended by the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.

7. Cookies and demo games

Demo games (e.g. Wild Quest) may save game state in local storage (balance, settings). These do not contain personal data and are not automatically transmitted to the server. Demo game cookies follow the same consent logic as the rest of the site.

8. Personal data in cookies

We do not store direct personal data such as name or email in cookies. Analytics cookies use pseudonymized identifiers. For more information on personal data processing, see our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to this cookie policy

We may update this policy due to new cookies, services, or legislative changes. We will announce significant changes on the site. If we add new cookies that require consent, we will request consent again.
